Tsingy Relais "Chez Tonton" : Ecotourist Getaway
Rustic relaxation, charm and service, delicious cuisine and comfort, nestled in the heart of the famous Ankarana region of northern Madagascar! "Chez Tonton" Robert is the perfect destination from which to explore the Ankarana Park and Reserve and surrounding natural environment. Tsingy Relais offers 17 traditional Malagasy bungalows with a total capacity of 40 persons, with 3 flusing toilets and one Turkish toilet (shared facilities) and showers. Delicious home-cooked meals are included, served in Robert's covered patio beside the botanical garden. Guest rooms are lit with gas lamps; bathrooms use solar lighting as do Robert's kitchen and private residence. All meals are prepared on Robert's hand-built energy-saving cookstove and solar cooker -- among the many ways in which his establishment contributes to the protection of the local environment.
